San Antonio is the 7th most populated city in the United States and the 2nd most populated in the state of Texas. San Antonio has been named one of the fastest growing cities in the United Stated from 2000-2010. The great city straddles South Texas and Central Texas, it is also on the southwestern corner of the urban mega-region better known as the Texas Triangle.
San Antonio was named after Saint Anthony of Padua, by a Spanish expedition in the area. Since San Antonio was founded by the Spanish in 1691 there are 5 18th century Spanish missions in and around the city, the most famous being The Alamo. Other famous attractions in the area include the Tower of the Americas, the Alamo Bowl, Marriage Island, and the River Walk.
San Antonio Climate:
